As in, something is very wrong with the server. The data is all fine, so there is no trouble there. Server is freezing, and gets random black screens out of nowhere. It's not the overclock, been at default speeds, doesn't do anything, not the ram, can be at any timings, and passes memtest. It must be the OS hard drives, nothing is on the OS hard drives, they just hold the OS, all the data is on the 6x500 hds in RAID 5, which is also backed up by 1.5tbx3 hds in RAID 5. So the data is good, and working, as in that is where all the obsidian stuff and everything else is. What it does mean, since the hard drives are probably dying, (there is no real to tell, they are in RAID 0 2x160s, and the raid controller is crap for those 2 hds(6x500s use the good raid controller), and doesn't support SMART).
So what have I done? Well I bought 2 of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136320

They are extremely fast hard drives, probably too fast for the crap raid controller, but hell... I still WANT.

So basically, server will probably be down from: friday-monday. I ordered today, and I didn't do insane shipping, so knowing UPS with standard 3 days, they will be here in 3 buisness days(not weekends). Installing the OS takes 20 minutes, and the server will be back up in 30 minutes after I put them in the server. Since I am pro.

Hmm, I switched the SATA cables for the two existing hard drives, they seem to be working now. Will post back if they fail again Very Happy

Ok that really did seem to fix it, but since those hard drives are coming anyway, might as well take em Very Happy Since they arriving at monday with an unknown time during that day, for anyone reads these forums(nobody), will be down at around 5-6pm (pacific time).

EDIT: Oh and I switched them like 1-2 weeks ago, I formatted the hds installed the OS and got the server working in 50 minutes. That is, I removed 2 old hds, put 2 new ones, put them in RAID 0, and then installed the os and got the server the way it was in 50 minutes. That's the power of virtualmachines people Very Happy
